The hungry
The ignorant, like sheep without a shepherd
Sinners, prostitutes, tax-collectors
The rich (Jairus and the Centurion) in the poverty of their distress.
Anyone can be poor in spirit; anyone can have needs that must be addressed - even the wealthy students I teach.
